Task: Students in this
activity will distribute flyers and put together information packs for the
Wesley StreetSmart Summer Fest program.
The students (only two) in the Event Management team have
been assisting the Wesley Mission through preparing and promoting for their
SummerFest evening. They have been working hard at school to create ‘show bags’
that include helpful information from Beyond Blue regarding Mental Illness and
lollies. The two of them have prepared over 200 of these bags. On top of this
the two boys have delivered 340 flyers advertising the event through a letter
box drop in Rouse Hill.
The boys have remained enthusiastic throughout and have been
innovative in their suggestions as we have sorted out the logistics of getting
all this done.
The boys have also enjoyed getting to know the Wesley
Mission and the many ways they contribute to the community.
This group looks AWESOME I love the idea of saving lives with the mental illness bags and the freedom of handing out flyers for a very cool event held Thursday afternoon at The Town Centre.
