Day One: More Than Words

Task:Join the library service team and help sort the textbooks into sets and then check for lost books. At the end of each year, every student in the school returns their textbooks, so there are thousands of textbooks that need to be organised and checked.

More than words were set up in the Library area. They were stacking books and were helping the librarians. We interviewed one worker and he said he loved helping the librarians and thought it was a good Service Days choice. We saw many smiles and we think it is a great idea to be able to help sort, stack and repair the books as the librarians are always available to help us. Some students were also helping transport books to and from H-block. They seemed to be enjoying themselves and loved helping out.
