Feeding Frenzy

Helping out the Cookies for Christmas group by packaging some of the hundreds of cookies made.

Mmmm.  Good enough to eat.

Looks like a Feeding Frenzy!

Ice cream sundae.  Make mine chocolate please.

Here to help.

Task: Prepare and sell treats for the other students to purchase at lunch time during the Service Learning Days.  The money raised from selling the treats will be donated to Hawkesbury Helping Hands to help people in need in our local area. Hawkesbury’s Helping Hands  is a not for profit charity which supplies hot meals, food hampers and emergency hampers to the homeless, less fortunate and those who just need a hand to get through a tough stage in their life.

Feeding Frenzy was hard at work on Tuesday as they were getting ready to sell ice cream sundaes at lunch to raise funds for Hawkesbury Helping Hands. During periods three and four they were also folding paper and packing cookies to help the Cookies for Christmas group.

As we walked in smiles filled the room, as everyone was very happy about the work they were doing to help others. We interviewed Tara and Daria and they said it felt really great to be able to raise funds to help the Hawkesbury Helping Hands organisation.  They said: “This is a great way to spread joy and it’s a kind way to spread happiness”.

Hawkesbury Helping Hands help homeless and less fortunate people and Feeding Frenzy joined with Cookies for Christmas to make the best use of their time during our Service Days.
