Task:
Serve those who serve us each year by assisting with site maintenance,
gardening, painting and other general maintenance and enhancement projects at
the Anglican Youth Works Blue Gum site in the Blue Mountains
In
Beyond Your Own Backyard the group headed up to Blue Gum Lodge in Springwood by
train and bus to help out by raking away the rubbish, chopping back overhanging
branches with secateurs and getting rid of any fire danger near the trails.
Unfortunately, the group was unable to be accommodated at Blue Gum Lodge. Even
without the overnight stay the group enjoyed the great scenery, socialising
with friends and the bush walks.

People
that have been interviewed for this service activity have said that they would
come back next year as it is fun to work with your friends and is like another
camp. An average ranking was an 8/10.
