Day One: Books To Go

Task: Collect, sort and sell second hand children’s books. The money raised through this service activity will be sent to Sunshine Cambodia to support their education program. Learning to read and accessing children’s books is fundamental to a young person’s education. Not all children are able to access a broad range of books.

Books To Go is a group that has been sorting through a large pile of book donations to sell to Junior School Classes. The books range from 50c to $3 and the money raised will go to Sunshine Cambodia. In preparation for selling the books, Books To Go, have been setting up and organising the books by age group and price. The group is looking forward to selling the books and seeing the children with smiles on their faces after buying a book. The group is very enthusiastic about selling the books and if they manage to sell them all will be able to raise $400.
